I Can’t Select/Find My Meta (Facebook) Ad Account
If you can’t see an ad account in the “Facebook Ad Account” dropdown or you don’t have permission to create ads
This usually means one of two things:
- You don’t have full permissions on the ad account.
- The Meta Business Manager you selected does not have access to that ad account.
✅ How to fix this
Issue 1 — You don’t have sufficient permissions on the ad account
If you can’t use your ad account, you’re likely missing admin permissions.
To fix this:
- Open Business Settings in a new tab.
- In the left menu, click “Ad Accounts”.
- Select the ad account you want to use.
- Click “Assign People”.
- Choose your name and enable Full Control.
- Click “Done” to save.
Then return to MyAdForce and refresh your dashboard.
You should now be able to use the ad account normally.
Issue 2 — The Meta Business Manager you connected doesn’t have access
To resolve this:
- Select a different Meta Business Manager — one that has access to the ad account you want to use.
- Or request access to the ad account using the connected Business Manager:
Guide: Request access to an ad account
⚠️ “Select Ad Account” Error in the dropdown
This error means the Business Manager you selected does not have any ad accounts associated with it.
How to fix this:
Solution 1 — Add an ad account to your Business Manager
- Follow this guide: How to add an ad account to a Business Manager account.
- Return to MyAdForce and click the refresh icon next to “Facebook Ad Account”.
Your ad account should now appear.
Solution 2 — Use another Business Manager
Choose a Business Manager that already has at least one ad account attached.
🚫 If an ad account is grayed out
A grayed-out ad account means it is restricted from advertising.
How to fix this:
Unfortunately, restricted ad accounts cannot be used with MyAdForce.
We recommend appealing the restriction or selecting another ad account.
